A native of Los Angeles, Rabbi Gross is an alumnus of UCLA and an ordinee of the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati. He served congregations in Arizona, West Virginia, Tennessee and California before coming to Florida in 1986 as spiritual leader to Temple Beth Orr.
During his nearly thirty years on our pulpit, Rabbi Gross implemented a wide variety of innovations in our worship and education culture, as well as representing our congregation in the larger community through leadership to Jewish Federation; the Board of Rabbis; the Ministerial Association and the Broward County Community Action Agency, as well as serving as Jewish community chaplain to the Coral Springs Police Department and Medical Center.
Since stepping down from TBO in 2015, Rabbi Gross continues to serve the South Florida Jewish community as part-time Torah-teacher to the Jewish Congregation of Marco Island.
Rabbi Gross and Carol live in Delray Beach, where they divide their time respectively between his Torah study and her psychotherapy practice and being with their four grandchildren who reside next door in Boca Raton.
