Esther is pleased to have been part of the landmark Temple Beth Orr Campus for over five years, now part of Broward Central Synagogue. She is proud to know this has been a connection for so many through their life-cycle events and, for some, for generations. Esther has been responsible for overseeing TBO temple administration, security and facilities and for the full administration of the 2023 NSGP Grant, which allocated $136,000 for school safety, including impact doors and windows.
Originally from Sheepshead Bay (Brooklyn), but in South Florida for over 50 years, residing in Parkland, FL.
Esther’s extensive administrative and operations experience includes supporting CEOs and top executives, including Congregation B’nai Israel and the Broward Chapter of the American Red Cross.
She has worked in the service industry with all types of people, from top community leaders, government officials and disaster clients. She believes everyone has something to offer and share.
Esther’s most memorable experiences in the non-profit sector have been feeling she has made a difference with empathy, service and support, participating in community-recognized events such as Feeding the Community, hurricane operations and the experience and excitement of having heard world-renowned speakers such as Dr. Maya Angelou, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Chuck Todd and others.
Her favorite quote is “Life is What’s Happening While You Are Out Making Plans” and “Life is a Journey, not a Destination.”
In her personal time, Esther enjoys Toastmasters (a fun and engaging speaker/leadership club), good food and conversation, walks (during cool weather), nutrition, working out and time with family and friends.
Esther is looking forward to new growth and experiences with BCS.
