Liat Levy, the energetic and dedicated Youth Coordinator at Broward Central Synagogue’s Kol Ami Emanu-El campus, brings her love for community, leadership and Jewish identity to every age group she serves, from our youngest preschoolers to our high school teens. Having grown up in Atlanta, Liat discovered her passion for youth work early on as a madricha in Tzofim, the Israeli Scouts, where she learned the power of teamwork, mentorship and connection. After high school, she continued her journey in Israel, serving in the IDF as a counselor for Sar-El. This civilian/army volunteer program brought participants of all ages from around the world to assist on army bases. Leading and inspiring groups from diverse backgrounds deepened her commitment to building bridges between people and Israel.
Comfortable speaking Hebrew and fluent in English and Spanish, Liat strives to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for every child and family at BCS. Her vision is to foster a love of Judaism and Israel, build lifelong friendships and empower our youth to grow as confident leaders who value community, kindness and connection.
Beyond her work, Liat enjoys exploring new cultures through travel, spending time outdoors, baking and sharing laughter with friends and family. Her warm energy and passion for Jewish life shine through in everything she does, making her a beloved part of the BCS family.
